creating an account

where the heck do u create an account?
just brought a pre paid usb modem...
and there is no way i can put any money on it
what the hell do i do to get my account activated?

Hi Ross, you should be able to plug it in and get connected, then open a web browser and follow the sign-up process online. If you're having trouble for any reason, give Vivid a call on 1300 32 78 37

Tried going to the my account page to creat an account as is the norm on all pages and there's no create account button. I've spent 40 minutes trolling the website an been on hold and nothing. Once this credit I used up, I'm not using vivid again. Who waste an hour trying to set up an account???

Mcsf, sorry to hear you have had a problem. There have been a couple of other people lately with some odd issues relating to new prepaid cards and so on. This sounds similar. Best I can suggest is to talk in person to Vivid today and get them to manually fix the issue. Perhaps they might also grant you a few free hours if you ask them?!

Same question, I can't find the activation page. Thank to the poor coverage, I can't use this gadget in my house where is informed that under the coverage, and its coverage is not good in Melbourne University.

This thing drove me crazy, and I still dont know how to set it up.

fcbunny, there must be a batch of modems that the vivid systems are not recognising. But this sort of thing can be fixed fairly easily I think, so if you're still having problems just give their support team a call and they'll sort it out for you.

omg this is pissing me off so much,ive plugged my new usb wireless thing in,and installed all the stuff i need 2, then go to activate my account but the pagge wont load, so i try to go on my mums computer and try activate it from there but i cant seem to find a dam activate thingo on the actual vivid wireless web site GGAAHHH so frustrating

Occasionally the activation process can go astray. I would recommend you call Vivid support: 1300 327 837

I'm also having the same issue. It would be so much better/faster if we could create the account online... why is there not even a link to the "create account" page anyway?

The only reasons I can think of why your modem would not take you to the captive portal and allow registration:

(a) the modem is faulty in some way (e.g. maybe a duplicate MAC address with an existing modem owned by someone else?); or

(b) you bought it 2nd-hand and the original owner hasn't paid their bills

Either way, you will need to call vividwireless on 1300 32 78 37 to get the issue investigated and resolved.
