Is Wimax being wound up?

Hi I have received a notice my modem will no longer be able to access the internet after 24th July and I should order an LTE modem if I am in the LTE coverage area. Unfortunately I am not so I will be without internet from 24th July. Has anyone else had this issue?

gfogo,

Check for coverage with houses that are a few numbers away from you, up and down the street, or even in the street behind you and so on. Sometimes the coverage tool will decide, based on geography that you are "just outside" even though possibly you might still be able to get a weakish signal. If you do find that houses next door or just down the road can get coverage, call vividwireless and have a chat to them about it.

@Frosty,

Since only specific parts of the vividwireless WiMAX network is being deactivated. Are the coverage maps for the WiMAX network being updated regularly?

The latest WiMAX Coverage Maps are found here I presume?

I checked this with the network engineering team. Yes, those coverage maps for WiMAX are being kept up-to-date. There will be a revision in a few days time due to the recently foreshadowed changes affecting WiMAX which take effect soon.
