Optus and VIVIDWIRELESS

Hi there everyone,
Let's start from the beginning. Firstly, Optus owns Vividwireless and brought them for their 2.3GHz network in 2012? which Optus modified and renamed it to their own '4G Plus Network'. Optus have done nothing to the Vividwireless network except maintain it and upgrade it a little around the nation. Hundreds of people like me ,and probably you, are waiting for the next move Optus has with Vividwireless.
In the last few weeks Optus released a new Home Wireless Broadband Plan with 50GB of data for $70 per month on the Optus 4G Plus Network. If you go over the 50GB an extra 10GB will be applied to your allowance for $10 and if you go over 60GB your speed will be slowed to 256kbps. Now here's the interesting part, on the Optus website with the plan it states the following: 'Up to 12/1 Mbps download/upload in 2300 MHz areas. Up to 5/1 Mbps in other areas'. The modem that is allocated with the plan is locked into 2.3GHz, the same frequency that Vividwireless operates at.
The WiFi modem provided is the Huawei E5186, and no other modem will work with the provided Optus SIM that you will receive when you purchase the plan. With this new plan and recent name change of the ISP that comes up on Speedtest.net (WAWB Pty. - See other Post) might mean Vividwireless is preparing to be shut down.
Vividwireless will not be the first company Optus shuts down, they have closed other companies as well, and Vividwireless will probably not be the last.
Also, it might be time Optus pulls the plug on Vivid, WiMAX technology is becoming old and easily congested. LTE (Long-Term Evolution) is the next thing and can hold more bandwidth. I don't see Optus upgrading the WiMAX network to LTE especially since they already have a 4G LTE Network that is capable of delivering of over 400mbps in some areas.
Optus may have a good reputation to some, but I still think Telstra deserves to be called 'Australia's Best Mobile Network'. They have achieved 4G Speeds of 1000mbps and Telstra has been reviewed and has the best mobile coverage. On my iPhone 6S I achieve speeds of 250mbps (No Joke) while on Vividwireless its less than 1mbps all the time. If i could change from Vividwireless i would but there is no other provider or ADSL in my area, I am looking into the Optus Home Wireless Broadband but 60GB won't go far...
Feel free to comment, I'm interested in hearing everyones thoughts and if anyone knows about this 'WAWB Pty.' Story...

For those interested in the new Optus Plan heres the link: http://www.optus.com.au/business/broadband-internet/wireless/plans
If your speeds are below 2-3mbps on vivid and you don't use over 50GB I would recommend it. The Optus Network has been improved a lot and is fast/stable during peak times.
