Vividwireless will be closing down their WiMax network in Perth, in August, I believe. Customers who are on the WiMax network should have received correspondence about the closure and the options available to them.

This will not affect customers that are on the Vividwireless LTE network.

If you need to check if your address is covered by the LTE network, go to the Vividwireless Homepage and enter your address:

Well this is interesting....just for fun I typed my address in just to check our local coverage area with the result being that VW is not currently available at my address.

Interesting because we run VW now and have done for a number of years.

@The Doktor, do you currently have a Wimax or LTE modem?

The coverage map only relates to the LTE network, not the Wimax network that will be closing down in Perth.

So yes, you may not be within the LTE coverage if you are currently on the Wimax network.
