Does the home gateway allow a direct cable connection to PC.

Sounds like a stupid idea to cable connect a wireless device, if deciding to try out vivid, will be using the gateway option.
only wanted to know if it could be cable connected to the PC in case download problems occurred through wireless.

using three mobile at the moment, the downloads usually are corrupted,

concerned that using a wireless gateway on top of a wireless broadband system could double the chance of corrupting the data when downloading.

Thanks.

Yes you can there are 2 Ethernet ports on the side of the gateway and a Ethernet cable comes with it as well.
