Horribily unstable connection since firmware update.


My connection has been horribly unstable since the latest firmware update. Before it was almost perfect. Almost no dropouts and a solid 10mbps.

Now I'm getting constant dropouts, and the connection is so unreliable at other times its practically unusable. There are no faults with any of the towers in my area of North Shore 3214.

This is pretty disappointing. The only other internet I can get in my area is super slow ADSL1. I've recommended Vivid to others who are in a similar situation as me, but I cant see myself recommending it any more if this is going to happen.

The new firmware update only updated the display on the modems main interface page and the change of Login/Password.

I also had a look at the towers in your area and they were all green. Saying that, it does not mean there is not a problem with Vividwireless equipment at the tower, that Vividwireless is not aware of.

I would suggest you contact Tech Support and let them have a look at your connection. And I will email my contacts and let them aware of what you are experiencing.

Post back what Tech Support has told you, and I will update on what information I receive back.

Can you post your Modems IMEI and also the date (and time if possible) when your connection became unstable.

Some adjustments were made in the network near to you as a result of the investigation into the issue you raised. This might not have directly fixed the problem, but it will have helped.
