We have an outage in Victoria Park - called support and they are apparently investigating the issue despite there being no notices on here.

I'm in Kewdale, Perth not far from Victoria Park and I'm noticing slow speeds tonight but only on various websites.
I am on the vividwireless LTE network.

The vividwireless LTE network is now stable for me.

I am having issues in Ballajura. Only getting speeds of the same too on the WiMAX. Seems like issues all over.

We're still out - so frustrating!
No updates from vivid either

I'm told that there have been major signal interference issues in some areas of Perth yesterday/overnight. However there are currently no outages listed on the vividwireless website that I can see, so am assuming that this is all resolved. If it isn't, best to contact vividwireless Support directly.

We are still out - no signal at all!
I did contact support directly and they said they were investigating so hadn't posted an outage on the website.

Still not working and NOT resolved.

Yea still having issues here too. Speeds are so bad. Are they going to post something on the site?

How are people finding the LTE vs the old WIMAX around the vic park area?

#12

SpotHound wrote 1 year ago

Customer service says credits will be offered, but only if you ask.

#13

Nascimento wrote 1 year ago

Still not working.

#14

VDubber wrote 1 year ago

Yup
We're still out entirely
Support said that there's a Perth wide issue
Also said credits won't be given until they know how long it's off for - have to call back when it's back on to ask for a credit and they'll decide - disgrace!

Still out

VDubber wrote 1 year ago

Us too
Why is there no update from Vivid???

#17

SumDude wrote 1 year ago

Damn Still Out! Lucky I'm unaffected. Wonder what is actually causing the issue.

Any news on when we will be back up?

What does signal interference mean?

#20

SumDude wrote 1 year ago

Well when my Telstra 4G was being slow they said it was signal interernce in the area caused by an illegal mobile repeater...
It took Telstra a week or so to retune the network to prevent further interference...
There are other factors but hopefully vivid can release some details.

There is a live outage in the Bently sector for an Optus mobile tower (Could also be used by vivid, although I'm not certain). Also Yes, WiMAX can travel really far as I can pick up the WiMAX signal from St James in Kewdale.

Optus posted the following about the current outage to the mobile tower:
We've identified a fault which means you might experience issues with voice and/or data at the moment. Our team are on to it, and aim to fix this as soon as possible. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I think I found my issue. Optus are upgrading a tower near me. Look like I will just have to deal with it till they are done :(

SpotHound asked:
> what does signal interference mean?

In general, it refers to another signal source that is interfering with the signals to/from the vividwireless towers and your modem.

Specific cases can vary in origin. It might be an illegal repeater such as someone mentioned above. There could be signal sources that are normally not an issue and well out of range (long distance away) which suddenly interfere due to a weather event.

Very, very slow since Saturday night in Burswood. And there are no notices on vividwireless indicating a problem with the network.

No connection in Armadale area since Saturday as well. And before that, very slow for over a week.

There is an outage notification up on the vividwireless website now.

I would recommend that you call and make sure that vividwireless know about your problems; every report helps them build up a picture about the scope and severity of the problem(s).
