Default Gateway Password

I had to reset the gateway recently but now cannot login to setup port forwarding.

My old password doesn't work.

What is the default password for the home gateway? I cannot seem to find it anywhere, here or Whirlpool.

If that does not work, you will need to contact Vivid Support.

hi OZZY, i recently logged into the default gateway and was in the process of changing the password and was in the middle of ressetting the device when the power went out, after the device restarted and my power was restored i went to connect my pc to my vivifi and it keeps telling me i have the wrong password. I tried the new password and the old one but no luck. I can see the vwifi username in my network connections however it wont let me connect to it. Tried to reset the wifi, and even left it off for 2 days but still no luck, any suggestions on what may help. Thanks mate :)

My knowledge of the vivifi is zero.

What the modem may have done prior to the power outage, is not capture all of the new password, as you did not have time to save it. It may be a default of vivifi, if power is loss, to automatically save any changes made. Its only a thought on my part.

So I would suggest contacting Tech Support - 1300 32 78 37 who may be able to do a factory reset for you from their end.

They will need your MacAddress to identify your vivifi modem.

Let us know how you get on.

it says you can Factory Reset the modem by holding down the power button of the ViViFi for about 30 seconds.

Also note, if you need to get the modem's MAC address, the back of the ViViFi case can be removed, the battery can be taken out, and the MAC address is on a sticker underneath.
