I am receiving an incorrect user name or password msg every time i try to log into the modem, i have previously used the admin user and pass but it will not work for me any more...can any body suggest anything

You will find that when a firmware upgrade was done, there was a change in the login/password.

The new Login/Password is: admin/admin (all in lower case).

Post back to let us know that you could log in.

I have the same issue here, admin/admin does not work. Neither is admin/vividwireless.

Appear to be problem with Chrome, I used Internet Explorer and I am in with admin/admin.

I just logged in to the modem using Chrome and the Login/Password - admin/admin without any problem.

I use Microsoft Edge most of the time, so I just copied the modem web address and pasted it into Chromes address bar. Even was asked do I want to save the Login/Password in Chrome.

I just checked with Google Chrome v60 and it worked fine, although it does warn me about the password strength of 'admin' being too low. Perhaps you have a saved password somewhere that it being automatically used? On a Windows computer you can check for these via Control Panel, Credential Manager.
