too many devices?

Hi,
i have recently purchaced additional ipod touch's but cant connect them to wifi, how can i change the number of wifi connections allowed?

fortunately I have saved the steps to change the WiFi Channel Number:

To access the Gateway modem, log in using the following login info. No capital letters.

Copy and Paste this in your browsers address bar: http://192.168.1.1/

Login: admin
Password: admin123

1. Click on orange Networking Icon (Top right)
2. Click on grey WiFi icon (below VOIP) (left side)
3. Under WiFi Setting, look at Channel. It most likely shows 'Auto'. If it shows Auto, click on blue arrow besides it and a drop down window will appear.
4. Click on any of these Channels 9, 10, 11.
5. Click on the Apply button bottom right.

The Gateway modem will reset itself automatically. Just let it go through it's process. You will be automatically logged out, so you will need to log back in via the above steps and check if the Channel change took effect.

If it did, you should now be able to connect your iPod Touch.
Post again and tell us if it worked or not.

hey, the admin login doesnt work, i can access the wifi and connect on ipod touch however i cant use all my devices at once,

megan, what sort of modem do you have? Home Gateway, or ViViFi?

I'm not aware of any limits on the number of WiFi connections in either device. None of the documentation I have seen references this. So I would have to make enquiries to see if there is a known limit.

Its not clear though whether this is a "hard limit" set by the manufacturer, or whether its just a recommended amount.

The WiFi capabilities of the ViViFi and/or Home Gateway modems should be regarded as somewhat limited to what you might term "normal usage scenarios" with a handful of devices attached. They just don't have the processing power to do what, for example, a WiFi Router might be able to achieve.

Can't seem to login to my Vividwireless LTE modem. Entered details on bottom of modem:

Browser address: 192.168.0.1

Then in the dialog box I entered:

Username: admin
Password: vividwireless (also tried admin123 as a password just to be sure)

Suspect when I set-up I may have changed the username and/or password but have obviously forgotten. How can I reset this?

You will need to do a Factory Reset on the LTE Modem which will restore the default settings. Any settings you made internally will be lost.

See Instruction Manual (Page 10, Item 10) and see Page 8 for diagram and position of Reset Button.

The Username and Password as above are correct. Not the Admin123.
If still having problems, post back.
