Changing usage plan

So... I'm pretty happy with the VW service... So tried to put through a usage plan change to the unlimited plan.

However the system returned an error saying that I have to wsit till the first anniversary date to change the plan.

Is this right or can I upgrade to the unlimited plan using some other way?

Yes, that sounds right ... I don't think they allow you to make a plan change in the first month ... if in doubt, give them a call to discuss.

Most providers that I have had experience with in the past (TPG, iiNet, Westnet and my own before I sold it) will cancel the account on the spot, refund the prorated difference (if any) and then upgrade the account immediately afterwards.

Vivid may not operate this way.

Well someone from support emailed me and it does seem to be the case...

Oh well, gonna wait till the month's over then... though I might blow through the 10GB before it gets anywhere close >.<

Yeah, you can't change the plan at all within the first month.

LOL I've had this nick ever since CS came out so no, someone stole me idea for a name =P

Anyway, since we are able to cancel our accounts and re-activate, wouldn't we be able to just call up to cancel, then create a new account with the new data plan?

I know that'd mean I'd lose whatever I haven't used on the $49 plan, but I'm thinking if I reach near 10GB I might as well do that and sign on to the $75 unlimited than pay more for add-on usage?

Just a thought =P

Yeah if you're not on a contract, you can cancel your account at any time and reactivate. Just use up whatever is left and then start a new billing date. Totally do-able.
