IPTV issue

Hi, recently I installed HDMI Modulator, I set IPTV output, but i have trouble viewing it, it goes through vivid gateway, does it support RTP and do I need to do port forwarding?

In short "dunno".

If RTP = Realtime Transport Protocol ... then probably "technically yes", as I would doubt that any protocol would NOT be supported, the gateway is just that, a device that passes the TCP/IP traffic from point to point. But I have not heard of anyone using this particular device.

In general, I would have thought that a wireless internet link would not be all that good for HD TV watching. But it would depend on whether it is sensitive to latency issues or not. I suppose it is not like gaming where the activity is interactive, send and receive; it would just be streaming a lot of data inbound?

What sort of problems are you having?

What made you think that it might be a port forwarding issue? (port forwarding is only necessary if somethings Outside your network needs to initiate a connection to something Inside; if your IPTV device is initiating the connections outbound, then port forwarding wouldn't be needed).

Firstly, without going into the technical side at the moment, "What are you trying or wanting to do with this HDMI Modulator?

Here is a website that provides the technical specs for the LTE Gateway. You may find the information your after in this.
