OVO Mobile will Vivid increase speed to compete with them?

Hi I just wanted to know will Vivid Wireless increase speeds to match OVO Mobiles new mobile broadband plans?

You can find them here https://ovo.com.au/products/broadband

I checked the whole OVO website and could not find anywhere where it states the speeds it is offering.

Provide the link to the page(s) where it states the speeds.

I don't think Vividwireless will be increasing their speeds, which are equal to what Optus offers.

I could not find the speeds on the website as well but I would think its faster then 12/1 max speed..

Why would you think OVO wireless broadband would be faster than12/1 when they are utilising the Optus network, and Optus themselves only provide 12/1 max speeds for wireless broadband.

Even if OVO was offering faster speeds, the chances that it would be faster AND also unlimited AND at the same or better price than vividwireless is rather unlikely.

Mobile bandwidth is a finite resource, so the plans that Optus, vividwireless and others offer are designed to use that resource to maximum effect whilst also meeting the needs of a "market niche". The typical vividwireless customer isn't probably going to match to the typical "insert ISP here" customer in terms of usage patterns/needs.

Just my opinion anyway. Not facts. But I can honestly say that in all the years that I have been looking after customer forums (for OzEmail, Access One, Unwired and Vividwireless), the number of times that I've been briefed by management about forthcoming pricing changes driven by competition in the market would be no more than 2 or 3 times (in nearly 25 years).

Minor tweaks to pricing however do happen a fair bit. Plans get revised. Most recently here at vividwireless, the Unlimited and other plans were increased from a speed of 10/1 up to 12/1 without any corresponding change to pricing (if I recall correctly). I expect that was just to bring vividwireless in line with the other Optus offerings?

I use this website when I'm looking at products I may intend to purchase. I read the reviews, but take more note of the Index Ratings which provides a more realistic view of the product without reading ALL the reviews.

The overall rating for OMO is basically 50% that is good or better and 50% that is bad or terrible, so not very convincing.

The person who obtain that speed might have been a fluke. The other day I tested my smartphone speed when I was in a shopping centre, and it was over 110Mbps / 26.1Mbps. Every other speed results is between 5-10Mbps download.
