Sensomusic.org and Sensomusic.com blocked for some reason

I cannot access either of these domain through Vivid for some reason.

With a VPN it's fine, but for some reason Vivid is blocking these domains despite being an innocuous piece of paid music software which I own a copy of and need to access their support forums.

It's ridiculous I need to VPN in to see them.

Am using Google's DNS and am a techie for a living, so have flushed my DNS cache etc.

Would love to know what's going on and why there's the need to block it!

I'm in Sydney and I had no problems accessing both websites using Vividwireless network. I use Open DNS.

The problem might be Google's DNS.

Have you tried a trace on both websites to see where the problem is?

traceroute sensomusic.org doesn't even make it to the first hop.

Will look at alternate DNS tonight and see if that resolves it.

Hmm, was Google DNS - that's bizarre considering the site is harmless.

Thanks for the update. Good that you were able to find where the problem was.

Does Google DNS have Approved/White List that you can enter a website address in, so its not blocked?

If you have a Windows PC, you could find the Hostname and IP Address values for the relevant servers and manually enter them in the Hosts file (location: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts)

That would temporarily fix it if there's an issue with Google just refusing to resolve the Hostname to the IP Address.

Easier fix would be to switch from Google DNS to OpenDNS instead?
