I finally have NBN with Telstra and cancelled my vividwireless.

Starting from DSL, which dropped out every 10 minutes then moved to alternative technologies like 3G wireless hotspots, and seeking other alternatives like Satellite internet from Telstra which was not worth the hundreds of dollars for such little quota, then vividwireless, the first 4G provider in Perth launched.

I have been with vividwireless since 2010 with their WiMAX 4G network and switched to LTE within the week it launched in 2016. I did experience many issues and frustration in receiving a fast/reliable internet service throughout the past 7 years on vividwireless, but in the end, it was better than no internet at all.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Frosty and Ozzcaddy on these forums for always going an extra step further to help me out with the issues I have experienced. Keep doing a great job on this forum guys!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

Hi SumDude,

it will be sad to see you go, but I do hope that you pop in every so often to say Hello, but also, there might be a current issue that you may provide some input to resolve.

Thank you for your input into the forums over the years, that has assisted other customers that had a problem(s). But also assisting Frosty and Myself with technical info that was conveyed to the engineers to help resolve issues.

I hope you will be pleased with the Telstra NBN, and that you don't have too many problems along the way and into the future.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You.

Hey dude!

Thanks for the kind words. Have a great Christmas! I hope the NBN works really well for you.

NBN is coming to my suburb in Q1 2018 and I can already see the workers out in the street running the fibre. We're getting Fibre To The Curb (FTTC) in our area, which promises to be better than Fibre To The Node (FTTN) but not as good as Fibre To The Premises (FTTP).

I will keep the forums bookmarked Ozz, I'll leave my Whim as well :)

As for the NBN, I'm on FTTN and the max speed is 43Mbps down / 18Mbps up due to my distance to the Node... But it is still noticeably faster than vividwireless and congestion has not been an issue at all... yet. :) Latency times are very low, less than 5ms which is fantastic.

Great news NBN is almost available Steve, from what I've seen online and from peoples post, FTTC is a lot better than FTTN so you should have a great connection and will hopefully be worth the wait. Just need to choose your provider wisely as the amount of NBN capacity purchased from the provider is a major issue over the NBN...

Thanks again Steve/Frosty/(Frostbyte) :P and Ozz throughout the years :)

This is SumDude signing off. Goodbyee vividwireless :)
