unitiwireless - will vividwireless match plans?

Hi, with unitiwireless now on the scene, are the plans from vividwireless to match the speed and quotas?

For example:
Vividwireless - 40gb for $59 per month, 10/1
Unitwirelss - 150gb for $49 per month, 25/10 (or $59 month by month)

I'm sure vividwireless will be paying close attention to the competition.

Would be a good idea if you sent this feedback directly to them via the vividwireless website (always has more impact direct from customer to company).

I had a look at the unitiwireless website, and what they display straight up is impressive. Until I began reading the Residential Plans and overall costs and the actual speeds you will achieve.

They charge an installation fee for a wireless modem. And that fee depends on the contract you take out. 2 years = $99.95, 1 year = $149.95, Flexi = $399.95.

They say the wireless modem is Free, but you would be paying for it in the installation fee. Normally wireless modems are turn it on and sign up with the ISP, no installation required.

Plan Speeds: The first sentence is this section tells you a lot. "The advertised speeds are the maximum theoretical speeds for the chosen plan." In other words, this is what we can achieve in a bench test in a workshop with no load on the network.

The following statement is telling you they cannot guarantee the publish plan speeds: "Actual speeds may be lower due to numerous factors including your network configuration, the location and type of content, the number of users simultaneously accessing the network and the performance of third party interconnection infrastructure that Uniti does not manage or maintain. Users connecting to their customer router wirelessly may also experience slower speeds, especially using tablets or mobile phones. The maximum theoretical speeds should not be relied upon in making a purchasing decision. Real world usage is unlikely to consistently achieve such speeds, due to the factors described above. For more information on speeds, please read our detailed explanation here. "

These are just two main items that you should seriously consider.

Yep, like all wireless providers there's a level of uncertainty around the actual speeds. Guessing this is why uniti has the 30 day zero obligation trial - https://unitiwireless.com/plans/, and vivid has the 14 day trial period.

Re the costs and installation feeds, with the lower plan cost and higher speeds it's something I'm seriously considering.

I'll reach out to vivid for more info.
