change DNS server(s)

Is there an option in the Huawai modem to change the default DNS provider, rather than having to manually set them on every device?

can't find anywhere in the web interface to change it...

I don't have access to my modem at present (am away travelling). But I think I recall that you would need to do this per-device, unless there is an option tucked away in the DHCP settings somewhere that I've forgotten about.

Ozzcaddy, can you confirm?

Frosty has asked me to post an update as he will be off-line for a few days.

I had sent Frosty screenshots of various settings pages within the modem, and from that, he found that it does NOT allow you to set a different DNS server for the clients.

He advised, you would need to set the client's DNS setting manually, for each one.

If you have many devices to change, the other option is to do:

Vivid Modem --> Ethernet --> Router with WAN Port handing out DHCP on internal ports/WiFi --> devices.

Many users do this anyway.
