Constant 4G Red Light

I bought a vivid wireless modem today and activated it, all seemed to be going well.

Once I had activated my account the 4G light changed from blue to red and has stayed this way for about 6 hours.

I don't know what to do, I have tried everything. When I reset the modem it has a blue 4G light for about 30 seconds then goes to red and stays red. No access to the internet at all on my new service.

I would suggest that you contact Tech Support, as there could be a couple of reasons as to why this is occurring with the modem:

1. Faulty modem

2. Modem did not register properly on the Vividwireless network when you set it up.

3. There is a problem with the tower(s) in your area that your modem is trying to connect to.


4. If you bought the modem second hand, there maybe money still owing on the previous account the modem was connected to.

Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 8am to 8pm.

Please post back with what Tech Support has told you and if the problem is still occurring.

Thank you! I called and the tower that services my modem is 1.9km away and the signal struggles to reach my modem.

Only option from tech support was to give my money back for the service so took that option. It is a shame, I was excited about the super fast speeds.
