I am slower than dialup speed on and unlimited account. What is going on

I am in Ermington area also. My 4G light is red. Absolutely no access to wireless internet.

If it is Ermington in Sydney, there is a tower near the intersection of Silverwater Rd and Kissing Point Rd that began having maintenance yesterday (17/12), and won't be completed until 21/12/18. This work is carried out by Optus. If this is the tower you normally connect to, you may need to relocate the modem so to connect to the next best tower in your area.

You can check on the Optus Status Map for any update or other towers that may also have work being done. Click on link https://www.optus.com.au/about/network/service-status
Click on Outage Tab and insert your Suburb/Postcode.

If this is not your tower, I suggest contacting Tech Support:

Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Customers (local time):
Monday to Friday 9am-10pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays from 9am-9pm.
