Extremely slow speeds

Hi, I contact technical support this morning after getting 0.56kb download speeds and 670ping. We did a troubleshoot and I reset my modem, which sped it up to around 20 ping and 5.60mbs per second. But, this afternoon, it just went back to how it was..

Is there anything I can do about this? Thinking about leaving Vivid once I get some money together.

Did they ask you to try different locations for the modem, if so, did it help.

This can definitely happen when there is maintenance going on with the towers near your location.

I've been away o/seas and just returned home yesterday morning. My daughter was complaining about our Internet speed and when I tested it with speedtest.net, I found that I was getting just 0.5Mbps download speed.

After checking the Optus network outages page (https://www.optus.com.au/about/network/service-status) I found that towers in my area were set for scheduled maintenance this week, so the change in speed was explained by that.
