Port forwarding

Hi there,

Now the internet is back on, I was previously trying to get access to security cams behind our firewall. I've successfully installed the No-IP service, and that is working well [for dynamic IP].

I tried inputting the port forward details, and use a port checking service to see if the ports I forwarded are measuring as OPEN. But, these always test as CLOSED.

I was wondering if there is a trick to getting the port forwarding working?

My modem is the B315s-607 4g modem.

Regards,

Steve

Until Frosty posts on this, have a read of this Topic on port forwarding from 2 years ago that Frosty started.

No particular trick involved in getting port forwarding working.

When you've set it all up in the modem and saved the settings, I would recommend restarting the modem.

Have a read of the thread that Ozzcaddy posted, then if you want to post more technical details I'd be happy to read through them to see if there are any obvious errors or issues in the setup.
